Case History 3-Ouija Boards and Needing a New Roommate

I was living in Orange County in Los Angeles when this case happened. It has been over 22 years since I have been in California. I was enjoying myself at one of the best jobs I had ever had and was looking forward to the weekend. The group leaders called before I left work and said that Gloria needed me.
Gloria was a new student who was curious about everything. She had a great deal of talent but absolutely no control. The first thing she did was decide that every one needed to be nice to everyone. She decided to try to invent a nice spell by modifying a love spell and cast the spell on the Beltane Celebration. It was more of a lust spell and that Beltane Ceremony had a great many difficulties in relationships.
Gloria took all of the criticism and the punishment dished out to her by the teachers about never casting magic on anyone with out permission. I was assigned to teach her since she was a problem student. Gloria had interesting ideas that she would make up from what she read in books. I made her promise to write down everything she did so I could figure out how to undo her mistakes. Mistakes normally happened because of the lack of control over her abilities. She had assignments of meditation, concentration, and control exercises because I could see where she could be a challenge.
I called Gloria back and asked her what was wrong. That Mary had said it was an emergency. Gloria told the following story. She had a couple of friends over and they were playing with the Ouija board. The roommate she shared the place with was a very religious person, who saw the Ouija board, and said she would move if Gloria did not get rid of it. Gloria waited until she left for work and then experimented with it again. The problem was her friends were reading from her occult library and had opened the Goetia. It has the signs of demons and their names. Everyone had drank quite a bit by then and thought it would be fun to ask demons to appear in the Ouija board. I worked swing shift in that job and could see any sleep and my hopes for a pleasant weekend vanishing.
I was told not to say anything to her roommate who also worked swing shift and would be home soon. They had called upon two demons Asmodeus and Baal as their joke demons. It sobered them up when they actually started hearing physical sounds outside of the house trying to get into the house.
I arrived at Gloria’s house about twenty minutes before the roommate. I had enough time to throw the Ouija board in the garbage after banishing everything out of the house. I thought I was through with the worse problem but no such luck. All of the friends left immediately when I arrived just so they could avoid hearing my opinion of what they had done. Therefore, I did not hear what had happened because they were not going to be the ones to tell me.
I had just asked Gloria what had occurred and that it had better be the entire story. I had caught her lying and leaving things out before with the other problems she had created. I knew I had to get things done quickly. She was describing it after I got the focal point out of the house. I had not heard much of the description out of Gloria when her roommate arrived. The roommate parked the car and looked at the Ouija board in the garbage and said, “Good you threw it away.”
The trouble started then as a weird howling wind started up and then what sounded like a huge angry washing machine. Water splattered everywhere with out a cloud in the sky. Something started banging on the door. Everyone looked out of the door and could not see anything.
It got worse after that and everyone watched as something dented in the hood of the roommate’s car as if it had something land on it. Nothing was there and the weird noises were still happening. Everyone heard noises by the back door and we all watched while five huge scratches were made in the wood of the fence dripping what looked like blood.
The Roommate looked at Gloria. She said, “what did that”? Gloria looked desperate and said, “I did not see anything”. She then said why look out the doors if you did not see or hear anything. Gloria said, “I was just following you around to see what you were doing”.
I decided this was the perfect time to head for the bathroom and do another banishing where no one could see me. I opened the bathroom door after I was done to the sight of the roommate packing her room up into her car in under 15 minutes. The roommate said Gloria could keep her half of the rent, as she knew she needed it as she pulled out of the driveway.
I then had a chance to talk to Gloria about what they had been doing. Words were too weak to express my feelings so I took it out on banishing and removing the demons and busting up the Ouija board. I then guilt tripped Gloria about what would she have done if her daughter had been home and could have gotten hurt or possessed.
Gloria never did anything with a Ouija board again but I still feel like they can be used as an opening to draw in negative spirits even if you are not being drunk and stupid. I have to say that between Gloria and Betty I had my work cut out for me in teaching for the next five years.
Everyone who does magic needs to write down what they do, and to think before they do rituals. Everyone who is learning will mess up in one way or another. Yet most of them are not as colorful as the students that I have had in my life. Ouija boards can open up ways for spirits to contact you. It has no protections or controls set to exclude bad spirits. I have had many cases of people who are sensitive’s ruining their lives for years after using a Ouija board.
